An investment holding company
Makwela Investment Group is an investment holding company registered in South Africa in September 2026. It holds and builds businesses rather than trading positions in them, and its involvement in what it owns is long-term and operational rather than passive.
The gap the group fills
Most small businesses are not short of ideas. They are short of the first capital, at the point before anyone else will provide it, and of the structure that keeps a young business honest with its own numbers. The group exists to provide both, to businesses it understands, run by people it knows can run them.
Three statements
- Ownership outlasts speculation. We would rather own part of something that works for twenty years than trade something for twenty days.
- The operator matters most. Capital can be replaced. The person running the business usually cannot.
- Records are a form of respect. What is written down can be relied on, and what can be relied on can be built on.
